ACADEMIC/NON-ACADEMIC STAFF VACANCIES

 

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following vacant positions in the Federal Polytechnic, Idah:

 

1.         Department of Quantity Surveying

 

            (a)        Principal Lecturer

            (b)        Senior Lecturer

 

2.         Directorate of Physical Planning

 

            (a)        Senior Structural Engineer

            (b)        Senior Electrical Engineer

            (c)        Senior Quantity Surveyor

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE FOR THE POSITIONS:

 

Academic Staff

 

a:         Principal Lecturer  -  CONPCASS 14

 

Interested candidates are expected to be holders of Ph. D. in relevant field(s) from recognized institutions with at least nine (9) years of teaching and applied research experience in institutions of higher learning OR holders of good academic Master degrees or appropriate postgraduate qualification(s) from recognized institutions with a minimum of twelve (12) years of cognate experience.  Applicants must be registered members of relevant professional bodies with evidence of scholarly publications in reputable journals, conferences, seminars, and ability to provide academic and administrative leadership.

 

b:         Senior Lecturer  -  CONPCASS 13

 

Interested candidates are expected to be holders of doctorate degrees with at least 6 years of cognate experience OR holders of good academic Master degrees from recognized Universities with at least 9 years of on-the-job experience with proven ability for applied research and productive work.  Applicants must be registered with relevant professional bodies with evidence of scholarly publications.

 

Non-Academic Positions:

 

(a)               Senior Structural Engineer  -  CONTEDISS 9

(b)               Senor Electrical Engineer  -  CONTEDISS 9

(c)                Senior Quantity surveyor  -  CONTEDISS 9

 

Candidates must be autocard-literate with good registrable engineering degrees in the relevant fields with at least 6 years of cognate experience or a good Master degree in the relevant fields.

 

CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

 

Conditions of service of staff of the Federal Polytechnic, Idah, are as applicable in all Federal Polytechnics in the Country.
